On Saturday morning, April 12, around 5:00 AM local time, an American citizen identified by the initials MM caused a disturbance and damaged property at Nusa Medika Clinic in Pecatu, Bali. MM initially arrived unconscious with another foreign national and was taken to the examination room.

Upon regaining consciousness, MM’s friend approached and tried to hug him, but MM suddenly became enraged, punched his friend, and a fight broke out in the examination room.

MM’s behavior escalated — he smashed a cabinet, tore down curtains, and caused panic among patients and medical staff. Some were so frightened they began to cry.

“When the suspect regained consciousness, his friend tried to hug him, but he became startled, started shouting, and hit his friend. A fight occurred inside the examination room,” said South Kuta Police Chief AKP I Komang Agus Dharmayana.

Clinic security immediately contacted local authorities. After the situation was brought under control, MM admitted his wrongdoing and agreed to pay Rp 35 million in damages. The amount was transferred directly to the clinic’s bank account and confirmed with an official receipt.
