The Italian tourist was named Giulia Manfrini (36). It began when Giulia was surfing in the waters of the Mentawai Islands. The stab wound from the swordfish was reported to be in the chest area. The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Mentawai Police, AKP Hadi Yasmar, confirmed the tragic event.



Hadi stated that the stab wound suffered by Giulia was 5 centimeters deep. Giulia was given first aid but was already unconscious. Later, at the community health center, the victim was declared dead.
