Heavy rain that flooded parts of Bali caused a tree to fall in Ubud. Several cars and motorcycles were damaged, and at least two people were injured.

Ubud Police Chief Kompol Gusti Nyoman Sudarsana reported that the tree fell around 8:30 PM local time. It damaged a KIA minibus and a Yamaha motorcycle, as well as electrical cables.

One of the injured was motorcyclist I Wayan Darmanta, who suffered abrasions and chest pain. He was taken to Kenak Medika Hospital. The driver of the car was unharmed, but the roof of the vehicle was damaged.

Personnel from the Gianyar Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) immediately responded to the scene and worked until 1:00 AM to clear branches and damaged vehicles.

A tree also fell in Banjar Abangan, damaging buildings and shops. The Gianyar BPBD quick response team was on standby and conducted operations simultaneously with those in Ubud.

As the rainy season begins, authorities urge people to be cautious on the roads during rain, especially near trees and in landslide-prone areas.
