Emperor Akira Ayman (16 years old) was found dead on October 31, 2024. He went missing at Kelingking Beach, Nusa Penida, on October 30 when he was dragged away by a big wave. His body was discovered about 200 meters from where he was swimming and playing in the water.
The chief of Nusa Penida police, Kompol Ida Bagus Putra Sumerta, reported that the body of the student from Insan Sejahtera Sumedang IT High School was found a few hours after the search began, conducted by the Basarnas rescue team and the water police. Emperor was found without clothes and was immediately evacuated to the shore.
The head of the Operations and Broadcasting Section of Basarnas Bali, I Wayan Suwena, noted that the victim was located 200 meters west of the initial point where he went missing. The body was taken to Gema Santi Hospital in Nusa Penida to prepare for its release to the family.
Earlier, Emperor was on an excursion with 48 other students from his school. The group arrived at Banjar Nyuh Port and headed to Kelingking Beach. Unaware of the dangerous waves, Emperor got into trouble. His friend Fadil tried to help but could not overcome the strong current.
The Nusa Penida police requested assistance from Basarnas to search for Emperor, but he was not found until the evening. Additionally, five other students experienced fatigue while returning to the beach: Jafa, Maula, Tasa, Rahma, and Caca.
